Next Step? Learn to Post a Photo

So in my first post, I admitted my dirty little secret - I get paralyzed by perfectionism.  In an effort to get off the fence, to "just do it", I am going to learn how to post photos to my blog entries.  Now, because I am at work (don't worry, the boss, my dear husband, is away from the building at the moment, so I won't get caught!), I don't have access to my recent quilt finishes.  What I do have, is some family vacation photos, and some random photos, so I will do with those for now.

That's me, relaxing in Alabama

This is a burro, scratching it's head on my
husband's truck mirror.  This is in Custer
State Park, in South Dakota.

Ok, so I am totally getting the hang of this photo adding thing.  Now I will try to get some quilt finishes posted to my blog.  Then maybe I can link to some of the blogs I read regularly.  But learning to link is another day.  I think I hear the boss coming in the door...

My first blog post

So, I created this blog over a year ago, and have considered and reconsidered it's look, as well as what I hoped to gain by it's existence.  I have started posts, only to delete them.  I have read a LOT of blogs, and thought of tons of excuses why not to start the blog.  I am not interesting. I am not witty.  I don't know how to link or add pictures.  I have nothing to offer anyone else.  But what it boils down to, as is a theme in my life, I am a perfectionist.  I don't want to start anything unless it can be perfect.  It shows in my cluttered home, my unstarted blog, my messy work desk.

So, in an effort to overcome my perfectionist ways, I am just going to start.  I still don't know how to add pictures, how to link my quilts to other blogs.

But I've started.   And that is something.
